4. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies on cervos.com. A cookie is a small file containing an identifier that a web server sends to your browser and that is stored by the browser. Except for strictly necessary technologies, analytics and advertising cookies do not load until you accept them through our consent banner. We manage this using Google Consent Mode v2, and we honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal (see “Your Privacy Choices” below). Before you accept, Google’s tags run in a restricted, cookieless mode and may send Google anonymous, aggregated measurement signals (no cookies, no identifiers) used only for statistical modeling; cookies and identifiable data are set only after you accept.

The specific technologies we use:

  • Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC; measurement ID G-3ZKQJF3KD2) — Analytics. Helps us understand how visitors use the Site. Collects pseudonymous usage data such as pages viewed, time on page, referring page, device and browser type, and approximate (IP-derived) location. Loads on every page but runs in cookieless mode until you consent; the _ga / _ga_* cookies and identifiable analytics are collected only after you accept.
  • Google Ads & Google Tags (Google LLC; AW-17995707680, GT-WBZKMP6, GT-5NXSVGXQ) — Advertising / conversion measurement / remarketing. Used to measure ad performance and show relevant Cervos ads on other sites. Loads in cookieless mode until you consent; _gcl_* and related cookies, and any data sharing with Google for ad measurement or remarketing, occur only after you accept.
  • LinkedIn Insight Tag (LinkedIn Corporation, a Microsoft company; partner ID 9273754) — Advertising / conversion measurement / remarketing. Loads snap.licdn.com/li.lms-analytics/insight.min.js and may set LinkedIn cookies (e.g., li_*, bcookie, UserMatchHistory) to measure LinkedIn ad performance and enable remarketing. Loads only after you consent.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile (Cloudflare, Inc.) — Strictly necessary. Protects our forms (contact, newsletter, chat lead) from bots and spam. May set a temporary security token. Because it is strictly necessary for security, it is not gated by the consent banner.
  • Cervos AI Chat Assistant (first-party) — Functional. Uses your browser’s sessionStorage (not a cookie) to keep your conversation during your visit. How chat transcripts are stored and retained is described in the “AI Chat Assistant” section below.

Tags deployed through our Google Tag and Google Ads containers are governed by Google’s privacy practices. See Google’s Privacy Policy and Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy.

Your Privacy Choices (California residents — CCPA/CPRA)

California residents have the right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. Cervos does not sell your personal information for money. However, our use of advertising cookies (Google Ads) for cross-context behavioral advertising may be considered “sharing” under the CPRA. You can opt out at any time by:

  • Selecting Reject on our cookie banner, or using the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link in the site footer (which reopens your cookie choices); and/or
  • Enabling the Global Privacy Control (GPC) in your browser or extension. We treat a GPC signal as a valid request to opt out of sharing for California visitors who have not made an explicit choice.

California residents also have the right to know/access, delete, and correct personal information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To exercise these rights, contact us using the “Contact Us” section below.

Managing cookies in your browser: Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings. Disabling cookies may affect some Site features. For more information, visit www.allaboutcookies.org.

5. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information for money. We may “share” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising (via advertising cookies) only when you consent, and you can opt out at any time — see “Your Privacy Choices” under Cookies & Tracking Technologies. We may also share your information in the circumstances below:

  • Service Providers: We may share information with third-party vendors, contractors, and service providers who perform services on our behalf (e.g., email delivery, hosting, analytics, customer support).
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information when required by law or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to comply with legal obligations, court orders, or government requests.
  • Business Transfers: If Cervos is involved in a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, dissolution, reorganization, or similar transaction or proceeding, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
  • Aggregate Information: We may share aggregate, de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you.

Important: All service providers are contractually obligated to use your information only for the purposes of providing services to us and must maintain the confidentiality and security of your information.

6. Data Security

Cervos implements appropriate technical, administrative, and organizational security measures designed to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These measures include encryption, secure socket layer (SSL) technology, firewalls, access controls, and regular security assessments.

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. You acknowledge that you provide information at your own risk.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information:

  • Right to Restrict Processing: You may request that we limit how we use your personal information.
  • Right to Opt Out of Sale/Sharing (California): You may opt out of the “sharing” of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising at any time — see “Your Privacy Choices” under Cookies & Tracking Technologies, or use the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link in the footer.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the information provided in the "Contact Us" section below.

9. Children's Privacy

Our Site is not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from, children under the age of 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete such information and terminate the child's account. Parents or guardians who believe their child has provided personal information to us should contact us immediately using the information provided below.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy & Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated Policy on our Site and updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this Policy. Your continued use of the Site following such notification constitutes your acceptance of the updated Policy.

11. AI Chat Assistant

Our Site offers an automated AI chat assistant. It provides general product information only and does not provide medical advice. Please do not enter personal health information or other sensitive personal data into the chat.

What we record

  • The messages you send and the assistant's responses

  • Basic technical information, such as your browser type

We use this information to operate and improve the assistant, respond to inquiries, and maintain quality and security. If you choose to submit your contact details through the assistant, we use them to follow up with you as described in the "Information We Collect" and "Contact Us" sections of this Policy.

Storage & retention. Chat transcripts are stored on our service provider's secure cloud infrastructure (Cloudflare) and are automatically deleted after 90 days. To ask what information we hold about you or to request its deletion, contact us using the details in the "Contact Us" section below.
